Shelley is the Library Media Director of Pleasant Ridge Elementary School in Glenview, Illinois, working with 3rd-5th graders and their teachers in a collaborative framework. Over the years she has enjoyed creating library experiences for K-8th graders in public and private schools in a range of socio-economic settings, using both planning time and collaborative models, working with staff or relying only on volunteers. She has also worked with all ages in the Reference, Reader’s Services, and Youth Services departments of public libraries.
